It’s never easy saying goodbye to someone we love or to someone who has touched our lives in some way. Whether we lose them to a tragic accident or by natural causes, it doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier. I have recently lost some people i know in sad and terribly unfortunate circumstances and was asked by the mother of one of the deceased if i could write a song about her loss and the heartbreaking effect it has had on her family. So i decided to put pen to paper and write a song that anyone who has lost someone can relate to. I called the song “Someone Wont Be Coming Home Today.” This is the title track off my new cd which includes 6 other songs related to losing a loved one. I shared this song on Facebook media a couple of weeks ago and was shocked to receive 42000 views, followed by orders for the song when i recorded it. So thanku to friend jerry Eilander for letting me pop in to record the new cd at such short notice. Also a big thanku to Tim Saunders who came in and did some banjo picking on a couple of the songs. My heart goes out to anyone who has lost a loved one and who can relate to any of the songs I’ve recorded on this latest CD. Tell someone you love them today and give them that extra hug when saying goodbye. Life is precious, and so are the memories instilled in our hearts by those we’ve loved and lost.
